Steve and Linda Joneli's Ponds Main patio pond, 6700 gallons, 7 feet deep.
Concrete block with Pond Shield. Filtration is all in a 10 by 20 foot filter
house. Two 4" BDs to 500 gallon DIY settlement with DIY micro screen to four
100 gallon DIY fluid bed filters, to Evolution ES 8500 pump to three 100 gallon
DIY sand/gravel filters with DIY Savio UVs, to three TPRs.
Skimmer to Evolution ES 8500 pump to four tray DIY
shower with lava rock to pond waterfall.
The flagstone still needs to be finished. I hope
to inclose this pond some day with a passave solar sun room.
Water garden, once again an old picture. Liner
pond, about 12,500 gallons, 4 feet deep. One 4" BD to 500 gallon DIY settlement
to two DIY old school 100 gallon bio/mech filters with lave rock and blower
manifold for flushing. Then to one Evolution ES 5500 pump to center water fall
and/or two TPRs. Savio skimmer to Evolution ES 5500 pump to water fall at the
house. The water fall flows down a creek about 16 feet long with a big stepping
stone in it. This pond is full of lilys, goldfish, wakins, and muts. The
bridge was copied from the "Zig Zag" bridge at Duke Universty.
Sarassa Gold Fish Pond, About 2,000 gallons, 3 feet deep, dry stacked block with liner. One 3" BD to DIY 100 gallon settlement to Evolution ES 2500 pump to one 100 gallon DIY sand/gravel filter with DIY Savio UV to pond waterfall.
Lily Pond About 2000 gallon, two feet deep,
plywood ring with liner. No filtration, just 2" BD direct to a Evolution ES
1500 to waterfall. No plants in it yet as we just build it but hope to fill it
next spring with lilys.
